M274A2 Mechanical Mule

One of the lesser seen vehicles in the collection is our M274A2 mule. Being an A2, this variant retains the selectable four-wheel-steer.

This vehicle has been in the collection since 1996 and was purchased from a private collector in Scotland.

Mule's are a rare sight in the UK, some of those in the country having been brought over for the filming of Stanley Kubrick's - Full Metal Jacket, on the London Docks.

The story from the previous owner is that at the end of filming, each mule made its way back to be used in the gardens of the directors. This apparently being one of them. All speculation of course.
